I don't mind fillers like this one, at least we get to see some development of the other characters. Shino doesn't get a lot of screen time, especially in the original Naruto series, so good to see some back story about him is good. Also good to see Team 8 getting some air time.
Looks like Ten-ten (another oft neglected supporting character) is the subject of the next filler episode, hope it's a good one.

first right and correct comment ,,eveyry single fight just to GLORIFY the uchiha where the real gods of the shinobi were senjo. there must be episodes to show the might of the senjo through "Wood Style" Hashirama. also the white fang of konoha whom was feared by even the senin themselves. screw fillers.

They don't need to fly, haven't you watched naruto lately? Whenever someone is dispatched from hidden leaf, they catch up to the boat right away, without using a boat. I've always been for fillers, but shippuden has taken them to a while other level where the story looks like a filler... Let's occupy hidden leaf and demand the series to go back on track!!

I hate filler just as much as the next but he needs it. If the anime catches up to the Manga, the writer gets fucked and you have another Inyusha or Rurouni Kenshin. They're all a bunch of greedy bastards in the end though. Dattebayo fansubs quit because they spent two years subbing filler after such a legendary ending of the first arc. I'm so tired of waiting!!! (Thats why I actually read the manga:)

after the tsunade filler episode there is "sai's rest" filler coming so dont expect that fillers are ending at "Ah, My Longed-For Lady Tsunade" :(

Read the manga. Naruto and Sasuke haven't seen each other for like 20 chapters. then estimate the time it takes for them to finally release the anime plus guess what, more fillers.... probably they'd end up seeing each other in year 2013. hehehehehe
