Hmmm 2 against 4 kage-battle... at last this is getting interesting

The squad behind Gaara an Oonoki must have a plan to seal the edo kages during the fight, otherwise they are doomed.

Did Naruto & Bee already took care of ALL the zetsus? They're free to handle the Edos now? This will be too easy, unless Madara steps in with his 6 new friends.

Gaara's dad seem bad ass. that had to have been a hard fight for orochimaru.

To 13 I wouldn't say Deidara beat Gaara easily, he lost an arm in that fight, and also used a distraction to beat Gaara.

deidara would have lost to gaara. gaara as kazekage had to protect his village so that's the only reason deidara won. well we see naruto is still doing his thing. gaara's going to beat his father barely though i don't see how he could stand a chance. i have faith in oonoki because to me he seems to be the strongest kage. the other edos don't look like they will be joining soon

I'm happy that tschuikage and gaara are finally in action again. but the chapter was too weak. nothing new was revealed. guess we can't expect something big every week. Nice build up though. gaara and oonoki vs the 4 kages? haven't seen anything of the other kage's yet but gaaras dad seem really powerful! hard to believe he lost again orchimaru, kabuto, and the bone guy. knowing orchimaru, maybe they weakned the kazekage with something? like kabuto weaked yamato with a poison so that he can't build up any of his wood powers.

I dont think there will be a lot of fighting next chapter. There will probably be talknojutsus between Gaara and his father explaining the connection of losing shukaku to the war they are now in.

The story of the dead jinchuuriki's and madara will anger the kage edo's. Somehow, the kage edo's will give a hint to Gaara and Oonoki on how to beat them and also wish them luck on beating Gaara.

its a well known fact that gold (whether its dust or not) is nonmagnetic then how gara's father was able to control it with magnet element ??

@27 you're wrong, Naruto only destroyed the zombie temporarily, you can see that he only realized it was a zombie when it started to regenerate.
I suspect Kabuto's surprise is to do with the sealing technique.

I think Kimimaro was awesome, especially with the curse mark. He could easily qualify to be an Akatsuki.
I'm not surprised that working together with Orochimaru (former Akatsuki and Hokage killer) and Kabuto (awesome taijutsu and evil medical kinjutsu user), they were able to defeat 4th Kazekage. However we don't know how difficult it was for them to achieve this.

Kabuto was able to suppress Yamato's mokuton ability, does this mean he could defeat the first?
Can he create something to suppress sharingan as well? Maybe that's why he's so confident against Tobi and Sasuke

Interesting chapter! Gaara and Temari finally showed again. Since gaara possesses the same eyes as his faher does when he controls golden dust, it's likely that gaara can control gold dust too. Wonder if gaara is going to try to get revenge on his father. Or has naruto changed him so much that he doesn't care what his dad did to him. Kankuro and temari should help defeat their father as well.

I think Naruto is showing his uzumaki sealing powers. He sealed away the magnetic guy like it was nothing, even kabuto was shocked. Finally we'll get to see some sealing jutsu from naruto.

I meant that the guy magnetized a human being, the Jounin from hidden sand that blocked the shuriken instead of dodging it.
So far we don't know of any hidden-sand Jounin with magnetic powers.
If Kishi can magnetize a human being, he damn well can magnetize gold if he wants to :-)

The third kazekage could use iron sand and form it with his magnetic chakra.
Would he have been an magnetic kekkei genkai shinobi as well, just like the fourth kazekage?

If so, the fourth had 3 children, gaara, kakuro and temari. SHouldnt at least one of them have that ability as well?

Seriously, i have been waiting so long for this fight.
I even started to think kishi would skip it.
That would mean i had to wait even longer to possibly see it in the anime.

Sure it was short, but the abilities of the 4th kazekage have been shown.

It seems that the kazekages tryed to copy the abilities of shukaku in their own way.

Iron powder, third kazekage(magnetic element?).
Gold dust(magnetic element), fourth kazekage.
The real thing, gaara, fifth kazekage.

Nice touch about the kazekages.

Does the fourth kazekage use a bit of chakra from the shukaku? he got those raccoon rings around his eyes when he did the gold dust move.

I do get a bit tired of all these different kekkei genkai though, because i would like to know where they all came from.
Juubi? Sage of six paths? Mutations, evolutions?

i think he meant, that oonoki survived long because he was able to defend himself vs anyone that tryed to kill him.

As in, a weak person dies in battle, a strong one survives attacks that are meant to kill.

I dont think dust element does something like the wood element with lifeforce and such does.

@48 actually it does make sense to magnetize human body its because human body can serve as a conductor some times when electric current traverses through it as electric current is itself generated by variation of magnetic field through a process of electro-magnetic induction so its safe to assume that human body can be magnetized
also biologically it is proved that red blood cells contain hemoglobin which mostly consist of iron which is magnetic

Gold is not a nonmagnetic element, its diamagnetic in nature. So, that implies gold will be weakly repelled by external magnetic field because of its negative magnetic susceptibility. Repulsive force is proportional to strength of external magnetic field. So, its quite possible magnetize gold with an appropriately strong magnetic field. Thats what Gaara's dad's Magnet release creates: A sufficiently strong magnetic field.

mokuton would have been nice for Naruto, but since he is primarily wind-natured I assume he will have something formed from mixing wind with something else. Here are some ideas:
wind + water = rain element!
wind + fire = sunshine element!
wind + lightning = cero!
wind + earth = Yet another dust element
wind + wind = Hurricane element!

this chapter was pretty good i was expecting more from it but oh well ,also the way Naruto sealed that magnetic element guy was to fast that even Kabuto couldn't comprehend on what , how and who sealed him HAHAHAHAHA Kabuto. i liked it when one of the kages yelled :Damn thats a whole load of sand, when Gaara sent a big pile of sand to them and used the sand on the ground to hold there feet while the dad was saying how it was much stronger hell yeah it was stronger hell yeah. I have one question where the hell is Sasuke like damn i want to see his EMS and see him meet up with Itachi then Itachi tells Sasuke to kill Madara and Naruto and Sasuke end up both killing Madara that would be so cool

@58 OK, you got me with the haemoglobin thing, although that person would need very high levels of iron in their blood (that's actually what happened in X-Men 2). I suppose this guy's kekkei genkai is better than magneto's :-)
But for the education of our younger readers, Magnetism is very different from electricity, for example this discussion started because Kishi magnetized gold and someone said gold can't be magnetized, but gold is certainly one of the best natural conductors of electricity known to man.
To summarize, blood-line limit = X-gene resulting in genetic mutation => naruto universe = marvel comics rip-off (-:

couldn't describe myself in a better way perhaps the most accurate answer and it wraps up the gold magnetizing issue yes a sufficiently strong magnetic field is needed but it should be in a very confined environment as the initial repulsive impact would be proportional to the strength of the applied field so it would be somewhat difficult to control gold dust when it is out of a specific range

The sand siblings are such a wierd family. None of them have the same colored hair or eyes and the look NOTHING alike. They dont even have the same powers. Had I not watched naruto from beginning till now, I would have never believed they were related. Temari's wind powers will come in to good use against her dad's dust powers, seeming as wind beats dust every time!

And why is Naruto not feeling the drawbacks of using clones in Kyubi mode? He stoped for a while and re entered Kyubi Mode and he's fine as a coccumber.

I always considered those rings to be a visible effect from being the shukaku host, just like naruto has those whisker marks.

DOes gaara's dad tap into the shukaku his chakra somehow. Or maybe it has something to do with his magnetic release style.

Toroi didn't show rings and he also used Magnetism release. Maybe Gaara's dad is son of the previous host of the One Tail, and got some of his chakra and traits.
Or kishi will just feed us some explanation like he got eaten by the Shukako and then crapped. Shukako's crap posesses magnetic properties xD

For everyone saying the elements don't make sense

In the Naruto world

Lightening pierces earth.
Wind fuels fire
Water extinguish fire
Earth blocks water
Wind beats lightening go figure there needs to be a balance

To meowmeow I know that you know the elements, but even as powerful as tsunamis are they can't knock over a range of mountains

On the other hand Kishi designed the elements so that if an element with more chakra can over power a stronger element.

Kishi: ok ok team, we have gone through all the various ways of implanting arms, eyes, legs, di.cks and whatnot.
Lets recycle some of that 'getting eaten by bijous and than crapped out'.

But yeah, him being the son of the previous shukaku could somehow turn into an explanation i guess.

I just found it weird how he suddenly got those rings before the jutsu went off.

The current mizukage terumi mei, uses lava release differently than the granddaughter of onoki.
So i considered that magnet cloud dude to be able to be different than 4kazekage. SO that they both didnt need to have the rings around the eyes.

Does sand and magnetic forces have anythign to do with each other btw? i am not knowledgable about such things.

Here's a prediction.


~Naruto 547: The power of an old man

Gaara and Oonoki are fighting the horde of past kages. Oonoki looks tired.

Oonoki: (Looks like this is going to drag on… I have to take out Muu soon, or this division will not live to see the next day).

Oonoki: Kazekage, stand back, I have to try something.

Gaara: Tsuchikage you can’t take them all

Oonoki: (Dark smile) You underestimate the power of an old man Kazekage, now STAND back.

Gaara uses sand to fly to the top of the rock formation where the division is waiting orders.

Oonoki has a malefic expression of his face.

Oonoki: What is dead should stay dead! Dust Release: Uncreation!

Oonoki encases the entire area around the kages in a gigantic dodecahedron. It implodes, leaving a colossal crater. All kages got caught except Muu and start to slowly regenerate.

Muu: Oonoki… I never expected you could pull off that technique… You destroyed several kilometers worth of landscape. It seems I created a monster. But it looks like you overdid yourself this time.

Oonoki looks exausted. Gaara appears and forms several spears of sand. Muu is caught off guard and gets impaled in a rock behind. Gaara uses a tsunami of sand to cover the entire crater with sand.

Third Raikage: Don’t worry old man, you won’t be fighting any longer.

Third Raikage burst out of the sand, covered in a black lighting armor, a fist directed at Oonoki.

Voice: Lariat!

Third Raikage is thrown to the ground, most of his chest ripped off.

Bee: I saved your ass old man.

Naruto is standing beside Bee. Second Mizukage is already stanting.

Oonoki: Hachibi stay out of this. I’l handle Muu, I’m the only one that can handle his powers. Kazekage you handle the Fourth Kazekage.

Bee: I’l kick this guy’s ass, I’m familiar with his powers fool, same as my brothar’s.

Naruto: Well that leaves my that guy with the weird clothes.

Second Mizukage: Look who’s talking kid!

Gaara uses more sand spears, against gold dust spears created by his dad, clashing in a fierce battle.

Oonoki: Nine Tails, he is no ordinary ninja, beware. He possesses a bloodline limit known as Frost Release. A simple touch by his hands or his techniques and the very water molecules on your cells will freeze. There’s no return from that.

Naruto: Got it old man.

Second Mizukage: Frost Release: Frostbite!

He creates a series of glowing orbs of clear blue chakra that shower over Naruto. He gets deep frozen and breaks apart. It was a shadow clone.

Naruto: Rasengan

Naruto’s rasengan passes through the Second Tsuchikage and his arm gets stuck in him; he turned into water.

Second Mizukage: It’s over kid, I’m sorry, I hold no grudge against you.

Chakra arms erupt from the ground and bisect the Second Mizukage. Naruto stands back.

Oonoki: We must finish this quick otherwise we’re as good as dead! Kazekage I have a plan.

Bee is fighting his former Raikage.

Third Raikage: You got big Bee, and strong, you’re in perfect harmony with the Eight Tails. Wish I could say the same about you’re rapping skills…

Bee: Sorry, take this knuckle sandwich mothafocka!

Third Raikage dodges and slams Bee hard in the gut. Bee stands up, panting.

Naruto is having trouble with the Second Mizukage.

Second Mizukage: Frost Release: Cold Blooded Execution

Second Mizukage gets surrounded by hundreds of ice swords, each the size of Samehada. He throws them at Naruto at his speed. Naruto dodges several times. He uses six chakra arms to help repel the swords, smashing them.

Naruto: ( As long as I used this arms I’m safe, they do not contain water, simply chakra)

Second Mizukage: Suiton: Rain dance

Clouds cover the sky, and begins to rain. The entire area gets soaked in a matter of minutes.

Second Mizukage: You are a brave fighter kid, but it’s no use. Prepare yourself.

Second Mizukage prepares a series of hand seals.

Oonoki: RUN ! ALL OF YOU GET AWAY! THE SECOND MIZUKAGE IS ABOUT TO USE HIS MOST FEARSOME TECHNIQUE!

Second Mizukage: Frost Release: Everfrozen Underworld

Muu almost gets Oonoki, but the latter manages to fly away and pulverize him. Oonoki flies high, Bee jumps to a high rock formation as well as Naruto, Gaara flies away in his sand. The ground below freezes and a forest of ice spikes erupt from the ground. The kages, except Muu and the Second Mizukage get deep frozen

Muu: That was the technique that killed me. Still in death, I honor you as a worthy opponent.

Oonoki: ( All that ice is tainted with his chakra… A simple touch in that ice and the target is frozen forever) Kazekage are you ready?

Gaara: When you are.

Oonoki: Grab them Nine Tails.

Naruto erupts chakra arms from all over his body, that extend far away, at astounding speed. Muu is quickly grabbed, the arms easily grab the frozen kages and grabs as well as the Second Mizukage.

Oonoki: Earth Release: Weightened Boulder Shards

Oonoki throws two small sharp rocks at Muu and the Second Mizukage, that once hit, turn into stone.

Oonoki: Eight Tails use that wretched sword to suck some chakra off them, so they’ll regenerate slower.

Bee shaves some chakra off the zombies.

Oonoki: Kazekage seal them.

It appears that Gaara can use the cloth sealing technique, and uses them on the four kages.

@overlord nice story, although I always thought naruto's secondary nature would be water and was hoping he would be the next one to end up with some sort of ice release kekkei genkai.
about 4th kazekage racoon eyes, it's not inconceivable that after Gaara's attack he decided to use some eyeliner :-)
let's expand this element interaction thing, e.g would lightning beat fire? would wind beat earth? We saw lightning beat water, but was that because Darui was just so much better than suigetsu? Speaking of which, wasn't Suigetsu mad to think he could take Kisame?

Liked how Naruto just came in with a rasengan; overall interesting chapter but it seemed kind of short no?

I get a feeling Bee and Naruto will come into this Gaara/Oonoki vs. 4 Kage fight, it looked like the landscape they were in was very similar to what Gaara's unit was in.

Maybe one thing though, the army is still sitting behind the rocks, waiting for a signal from gaara xD. might have been cool to make a few of them assist in the fight.

Kishi sure is throwing lot of kekkei genkai into the story lately. Gaara most likely uses magnetic element as well.

Kekkei genkai.

Wood release.
Ice release.
Lava release.
Acid release.
Storm release.
Blast release.
Scorch release.
Magnet release.
Blaze release?(sasuke with amaterasu control).

advanced kekkei genkai.
Dust release.

Then there are kekkei genkai like kimimaro his bonecontrol, the rinnegan, sharingan and byakugan.

I might have forgotten a few as well.
Kishi could maybe start explaining a bit, how these kekkei genkai appeared, or if its some sort of similar thing to xmen.

I think that they are indeed similar as xmen, they are mutarions. Ninja's have been exploring they're powers since a long time ago, mutations are bound to happen from time to time. We got to know more of them now, only now kishi is showing this much about other nations, Naruto was mainly centered in Konoha before.

Gaara's sand manipulation is due to the Shukaku. When he was a host, the sand would protect him against his will, ensuring his survival.If sand is lacking in abundance, Gaara can break down the earth minerals in the ground to create more sand. While he can control any dry sand, ordinary sand requires more chakra to manipulate.
The One Tail is gone, but he kept it's traits.
Metal based minerals would not create sand. Sand as we know it, at least the pure sand (used to make glass) is composed of quartz. Magnetic release would not work on this.The sand Gaara always used never appeared to contain any metal.
The third Kazekage we now know used Manetism Release, but he perferted it. While Gaara carries normal chakra infused sand, he used Iron Powder.

the manga still has a lot to reveal about various clans and their origin especially hyuugas and then there is shiusui's and So6p mystery then sasuke's EMS which will most likely kill the madara's survival of 80 long years theory which has been gaining strength from time to time that's why kishi has some reservations to unveil sasuke's EMS then the fighjt with madara and hashirama which will confirm madara's death and tobi's identity not to mention 6th coffin and kabuto's involvement with his background
so the fight with tobi won't happen any sooner as it will mark the end of manga
regardless of all that even if kishi tries to put naruto in fight with tobi earlier then naruto will certainly loose nine tails but somehow survive and fight back

for me it will take more than 100 chapters on-wards to finish this story-line

Just a thought:

Since zetsus were mixed into the ninja alliance then they would have learned all about their plans. Therefore, they would have reported everything to Madara which means Madara can plot perfect counter-strategies and has another big advantage.

Well Madara is very confident of how things are going so far, the fact that he was confident even without Kabuto clearly means he has many aces up his sleeves. His always had an advantage, he has a lot of knowledge on jutsu and people so even the slightest distraction he uses it to his advantage.

Guys I think why Madara is confident even without Kabuto's Is This:

His initial Plan was using Gedo Mezzo to create an army of Zetsus. He wanted only to use those zetsus to replicate and create chaos and lure Naruto and B which does not require any power up in beginning. The fact that kabuto's arrival only help to enhance his plan more but of course he still cautious with Kabuto.

There's something happening I dont know what but its like Narutos this ultimate form is actually causing physical reaction in case of other jutsus...like the previous rasen attacks turned the Zetsus into trees that means it was effecting their chakra and mutating them. the similar attack to the reincarnated dead bloodline limit user simply sealed him without any sealing technique...I think this has some serious connection to Narutos bloodline as he is the last uzumaki i think this is his bloodline limit power..moreover he is also blood related to the 1st hokage the mokuton user...he also has those six "6" sign of the mythical rinnegan sage of six path round his neck...also his rasenshuriken acts as chakrabreaker at cellular level..Naruto is a gifted badass no doubt.....i think tsuchikage may die!

naruto couldnt use multiple clones in SAGE-MODE while fighting because without stillness, his chakra is limited... in kyuubi mode, he has nearly limitless chakra, so he can make tons of clones.. also in kyuubi mode, he would be able to make lots more than just 2 rasen-shuriken..
the limits on his clones and rasen-shuriken were because of the sage-mode chakra limitations...

one thing i can't believe is that tobi made himself the next nagato (the new "7th" pain).. he originally said he needed to find a new 'pawn' to sync to the gedo maza, but it looks like he used himself.. thats why they all have rinnegan & sharingan... he didnt implant eyes in each 'new pain body'. its like why the paths of pain had rinnegan eyes.. it was just because nagato was the 'remote controller'..

with the sharingans, my question is whether they all have the same sharingan abilities as tobi, or if its specialized like the rinnegan (i.e. each body controls one of the six paths)

woulda been better if he just used 6 different sharingans on the 6 jinchuuriki's.. giving them each some new crazy uchiha powers..

ok.. theory time.. 'MADARA'/TOBI 's ABILITIES:

i think his sharingan ability is the making himself intangible. the warping ability, though seemingly similar to kakashi's kamui, i believe it is a technique using the mask. i think its similar to minato's special made kunai, that using the mask, he can open portals to other places. i think this has to be a technique from the destroyed whirl/eddy village. there's alot of hints through-out the story pointing to a link between tobi and the whirl/eddy village, though whether he's a former member of that village (possibly related to the uzumaki clan) or he just had something to do with it's destruction, i dont know, but i could see tobi stealing powerful techniques and then destroying the village to keep anyone else from knowing the techniques he uses and/or how to counter them.

so, what do you all think about the mask idea?

you are right about one thing, gold isn't magnetic. But it will magnetize within a magnetic field which is exactly what magnet element users use to control different metals. Kishi is either a genius or incredibly lucky that worked out that way

man in naruto world there is clear evidences that children of jinchuriki inherit some traits of biju the best exmp is TES who obtained a dojutsu that was infact a combo of sharingan and rinnigen but real rinnegan was what nagato had rikkudo senin rinnegan was mutated in a way when naruto eyes changes when he uses kyuubi chakra so in other words source of sharingan was that cyclops juubi.

I got it..., its sage of six path's remains in the coffin, the fact that kabuto has it means that someone brought it down from the moon (thats tobi of course). Tobi took So6p's DNA and somehow injected it to Nagato(Where he says he gave nagato the rinnegan),because he wanted to recreate the rinnegan,(I long thaught that he may have transplanted the eyes to him, but if so, why didn't he just transplant them on himself...) Meaning that Nagato really never was the savior of the world nor the reincarnation of So6p, just a pawn, the host to breed the rinnegan...makes sens?

The origin of the Rinnegan:

The Hyuga clan was the first clan to discover chakra. They were looked upon as gifted with their unique fighting style yet they were very peaceful and had no desire for war. They learned the truth of chakra from the Rikudu Sage who was born from their clan. He later spread his teachings to other clans as well.

There was a boy named Ziruen who grew up from the Hyuga clan. He grew up to be far stronger and smarter than anyone around his age. At that time no one knew about the truth of Chakra. However one day as a boy, he got into a fight with another boy from his clan. The other boy was killed yet there were no noticable external injuries and no one could find the cause of death.

Ziruen was already feared for his superior strength and intelligence but now he had taken a life. The other clan members agreed that Ziruen be thrown out of the clan as punishment for his crime. He was hated and scorned but feared as well as rumours continued to spread of his mysterious powers.

As time passed people began to forget about Ziruen. This was the time when the Juubi appeared. It attacked many clans and many were killed. This was the age of fear.

One day a young man appeared as the Juubi was again on a rampage and was killing members of his clan. He had many circles in his eyes, with spiky dark hair and strange clothing and weapons. He was able to stop the Juubi and seal its chakra within himself. He was praised as a God. When asked his name he said: "I am Ziruen, messenger of the gods and Sage of the Six Paths."


So there it is. The Senju and Uchiha powers were derived from a gifted and mutated Hyuga who was chosen as a messenger of the gods and who later sealed the Juubi within himself. Please comment. :)

Most probably both bloodlines will be thinned and the kid wont be powerful since he wont be able to use sharingan or byakugan completely.

In naruto world there is clear evidences that children of jinchuriki inherit some traits of biju the best exmp is TES who obtained a dojutsu that was infact a combo of sharingan and rinnigen but real rinnegan was what nagato had rikkudo senin rinnegan was mutated in a way when naruto eyes changes when he uses kyuubi chakra so in other words source of sharingan was that cyclops juubi.what madra dont know is that jubi was the source of sharingan and madra is neither a full version of rikkudo (means just rikkudo not senin) to seal it inside its body and since it posess sharingan which was inherit down by juubi he cannot cintrol jubi with his sharingan

I think naruto should get a sword and learn how to infuse his element in it. If he did get a sword it should be something like the executioners blade tho. He should also learn a new element combine it with his wind element and then infuse th gk element into the sword. If sasuke has a sword naruto should have one as well let me no ur opinions on this

@194 naruto does not need a sword its just not his style a sword is precise, while naruto just spams rasengan and kills everyone lol. if he got a sword he would basically have to completely change his fighting style, atleast that is how i see it because sasuke thinks in his fights he doesnt just rush in thats why he has a sword.

swords dont fit with naruto in my opinion.
Even though he had one in the movie with the fourth.

I would like to see naruto with weapons like asuma, sora, kasuma or with a staveweapon similar to the sage of the six paths, who had a sword as well.


Than sasuke has the sword and naruto the staveweapon.
