naruto can keep up with raikage in terms of raw speed, it means he is very near being equal to minato's speed. But I want to know will the speed only do? we all know naruto is not a genius as minato. Only bijuu bomb wont do, he still requires some insane power ups or more precisely a kekkei genkai! without it naruto will end up as a no.1 superfast, unpredictable knucklehead ninja.
adding superpowerfull to the mix will just do great!

LOL @ Uchiha Kagumi's statement in post #33. I was thinking the same thing too. At first I thought Jiraiya was referring to Nagato as the destined child. Meh.... Kishimoto has dug more holes into his ninja world. But damn... for A, the fastest shinobi in the current Naruto-verse, to admit that Yondaime was fast and couldn't have been surpassed, truly made the Yondaime live up to the legend that he was. And for A to insult the Yondaime in front of his son, was a big mistake. I wish they could have fought, but of course B had to interfere. Pffft! Anyway, too many recollection again... dang it! And another cliffhanger to boot! Sheesh!

Honestly the chapter was truly great, one of the best! but it just show's how much more naruto needs to train, and become faster. In order to beat madara, he needs to be faster than his father. Minato was truly a shinobi like no other.altho besides the raikage making a idiot of naruto's dad and naruto defending his father. the storyline behind killer bee and raikage was also cool as well. naruto is near being equal to minato's speed, but what would tope it off was the technique minato knew, and hopefully somehow passed down to his son naruto The flying thunder God!! after what raikage said about minato naruto needs to learn it to put a wtf just happend look on raikage as he gets his ass kicked. xD

interesting, Railkage mentioned that Naruto had death wish due to Naruto attempt summoning his shadow clone. He's better than this! If he did summon his shadow clone then he will die because demon nine tailed will devour all of his chakra until he die.

after jiraya's prophecy, he had only one objective in his life that was to search the destined child so all the pupils he met after that were assumed to be the destined saviors of the mankind according to their specific traits acknowledged by jiraya
first he assumed nagato to be the one then after training him for 3 years he became minato's sensie
minato was exceptional in every way which compelled jiraya to believe that minato was the destined one
after minato's death jiraya came back to his first assumption that nagato was probably the one with rinnegan
like ogamma senin predicted at the time of jiraya's death he had to make the important decision which would determine the fate of the world
the decision was the guts to " never give up "
the words were very synonymous with motto of another pupil of his the child name naruto, the main character of jiraya's book

naruto has to prove raikage what he is capable of for that he either have to demonstrate bijuu bomb or do something extra ordinary to earn his trust and respect
so far he is equal with raikage in speed terms as tsunade presumed but if it's going to be intense battle then naruto definitely have an advantage of perseverance and stamina
also raikage's combat style is too one dimensional hence it is predictable and naruto always wins the fight in some cheap unpredictable ways

why look for a teammate for raikage that is like half his age?
I suppose it would be a lot easier to try a lariat of even power with some jounins, yet they assembled six kids to try it out.

A good part in the chapter, in my opinion, was bee jumping in between raikage and naruto and suggesting to die, if one of the jinchuriki should die. He even said it right in his face.
Followed up by the bumping fist comment of bee for even more awesomeness.

Raikage knows what Bee can do. And I'm assuming the bodyguards on the island kept in touch with HQ, if not , then Raikage is simply underestimating Naruto.
The thing of the kid teammate might be some standard way of teaming from Kumo.

seeing how sasuke did well against an enraged reikage who wasnt playing around and using full power to kill him

and how naruto kyubi mode can barely keep up with reikage without raiton armor and using like 50% of his power

guess narutos thoughts that sasuke was stronger than him and that he would need kyuibi to defeat him were true

and now the sasuke who defeated danzou and showed full developed susano to kakashi has EMS and probably a boost in chackra, speed, and other things

naruto will need full kyubi support for this battle

naruto confronted a weakend pain who previously fought konoha and wated lots of chackra with super shinra tensei

i wouldnt be surprised if reikage would have taken down all weakend and slower pains in a record time if he had info on them

kishi wants to make clear that pain was indeed weak when he fought naruto, plus, pain avoided killing naruto

if it had been in full strenght the results would have been entirely different

its the kage from the village hidden in the ice here jus saying it was a good chapter but all stuff we knew with a lil info on the 4th and the past of killer bee but we need a full on battle or need to at least get a glimpse of sauske's eyes but what i dident get was why did naruto try and do a shadow clone before raikage hit him it said that is he did any shadow clones in 9 tail mode the fox would take over does this mean that he fully has learned all the tricks and mastered his fox chakra? but cant wait for the next chapter and please dont let it be all about killer bee and raikage's past save it for the anime

naruto knew he would just waist time in a battle that he would not even won, why you think that after receiving a punch of reikage naruto asked tsuandes support?

he knew that reikage was god damn strong even in kyubi mode, thats why naruto after feeeling such a heavy strike understood well the situation, he even claimed to himheself that he would be done for in no time if he received quite few more of those punches

clearly narutos strategy was to use a clone for diversion, it could have costed him some life force, but he would at leas survived and make it out of the battlefield

what i am surprised is that that punch wasnt as serious a the one that reikage inflicted on sasuke in his mini version of susano, and still was enough to make naruto feel that much pain, while a full reikage strike on sasukes susano+amaterasu coudnt even make sasuke lose conciusness

yeah people are right here. naruto needs something big, more like big power ups. seeing naruto fight now, sauske will kill him without breaking a sweat. as 61, said, raikage was trying to kill sauske at kage arc, yet sauske was able to fend him off. with power ups for sauske, he would destroy raikage now, meaning he will defiantly inhilate naruto, since naruto can't even beat raikage. i hope there's more to naruto's true ability in kyubi mode, perhaps KM+SM. or else naruto is toaaaaaaaaaast.

the only thing the chapter showed is their speeds, nothing else. Like raikage said, he is the fastest shinobi alive atm.

next weeks chapter will be interesting. since bee has got involved and is ready to die for naruto, what will raikage do? try to fight bee and naruto? only one winner than, there's no way he can fight them both. but seeing what happened in this chapter, i wouldn't be surprised if he could. after all the talks about how powerful naruto has become, naruto has just got pawned. and this is raikage yet. im assuming tuschuikage is even better than raikage........tsuchuikage vs naruto? any guesses?

naruto previously admited he was no match for sasuke and that he would need kyubi

a undeveloped sasuke fought an enraged reikage trying to kill him and still was able to keep a little with him,receiving reger bomb and other major attaks

sasuke was even able to make reikage lose an arm

naruto just received a normal punch from reikage and inmediately was winning to tsunade to let him go

in narutos thoughts, he admits that few more punches from reikage in normal state(no raiton armor, no full power) he would be done for

obviously bee intefered since he saw naruto in danger, if not, why bee didnt interfere earlier?

even tsunade admited that bee saved naruto

This chapter was very good, i even liked the flashbacks,
It was cool to see how fast naruto became, can't wait to see it in the anime,
I hope naruto has allot more power then he showed now, i know he has as @meowmeow said we only saw speed action

It's also awesome to see that bee finaly stands up against his '' brother '' that shows how much respect he has for naruto and that he cares for him and trusts him.

Also it was cool to see A's and B's flashback, cant wait for the next chapter :'D

On the otherhand.. I can wait for the episode tomorrow since it will be lame flashbacks

now i got myself asking this question again.
'is naruto stronger than sauske'?
because i honestly do not know after that chapter.
i really cannot believe naruto tried to make a shadow clone lol. did he forget that if he had done that he would have died instantly. Unless i'm mistaken and he was making a seal for a different jutsu (which i highly doubt it).
i feel like naruto is being degraded

This was my take on this issue:

- @TheDarkPrince, I agree, I mean what will raw speed do for Naruto anyways? Sasuke opens the 'first gate' wherever he uses the chidori to increase his speed to the point where he can match the Raikage's incredible speed in battle. Well, at least counter attack...

- Does raw strength matter as well? Both Raikage and Naruto have demonstrated that they both have chakra levels so high that they can augment their strength to such a degree that they are immensely strong.

- @Meowmeow, I'm a little apprehensive now if Naruto knows what he is doing? He was going to use a Shadow Clone technique (Kage Bushin Jutsu) when the 8 Tails told him explicitly that such an action would double the drain of 9 tails eating into his normal chakra reserves. The 9 tails did seem somewhat more friendlier towards Naruto, as he engaged in a conversation, but their still not on the best of terms. Therefore, his life-force wouldn't be drained at all; instead he would simply die because the 9 tails would break free and kill the host!

NB: I also think the greatest problem with the other villages is that they don't have a belief system (Raikage's is quite limited) such as the 'will of fire.' Actually, I forget, no society does!

I know that this is what everyone will be talking about but I personally dont think that Naruto stands a chance aganist Madara especially not Sauske.

Sauske was an extremely formidable opponute for Raikage. And yes I know everyone will say that thats because of Susano but the fact of the matter is Sauske is a well rounded ninja. And Sauske stood his own aganist Raikage while naruto 2 seconds into the battle is talking about how hes in danger if Raikage even connects a punch!!!!

Its just so aggrivating to see Naruto squeek by all the time. Shadow clones and incomplete forms of 9 tails isnt going to be enough this time! And its so boring to watch him just use the same techniques over and over again. I understand that rasengan is a powerful attack but come on already. All other ninja of Naruto's caliber have several very effective jutsu! And hes an Uzumaki! Forms some seals for f**k sake!

So glad kishi gave the props deserved to my favorite character, YONDAIME FTW!!!

Narutos gona learn to be the fastest like his father, its evident when you go back to when naruto gets hit by the raikage and was like "Gotta be faster this time".

Also, I think naruto mightve learned to add the biju ball chakra into his rasengan, if you go back and look naruto is totally about to whip out a kage bunshin before bee steps in. I wouldnt be surprised, it reminds me of when naruto went sage mode and threw the rasenshuriken. they kinda hinted at it but didnt really show it complete.

I just realized, Naruto was Having trouble getting the right 80-20 mix of dark and light chakra for the biju ball but if he made 10 shadow clones, 8 pulling in one and 2 pulling in the other type then it wouldnt be a problem. that would also probably give the desired look for kishi making it look like a more complicated jutsu rather than just another rasengan which takes 1 clone or a rasenshuriken which takes 2 clones.

resengan would be useless against reikages raiton armor, sasukes shidori could barely penetrate it, doubt resengan would do any difference

as for raisen shuriken, no doubt that even if doesnt destroy raiton armor completely it would certainly inflict some demage, the problem would be to hit reikage at his speed

as for reikage saying that minato was stronger than him, well, cant help but to remind you that that was years ago, reikage surely could have trained and be at minatos level by now

concerning ems.
to be honest i dont really think ems is going ot enhance sasukes powers greatly..madara had ems and still lost to hashirama (although he claims it was all part of his plan) so it is not invicible..it will further enhance his existing abilities which naruto can counter...it may awaken an unknown tech...i think tobis space/time is the tech he awakened wen he obtained ems...at the moment naruto is very similiar to raikage in that he has more speed and rawpower than sasuke but sasuke hs better techs. i do not think sasukes ems will physically make him any stronger or faster. everyone is also underestimating sage mode, effectively naruto has 3 sources of chakra plus kishi never did take the sage-kyuubi mode further, i think naruto and sasuke will be the most even match possible with there fight alot closer than the third and it will swing back and forth...until 3rd party interruptus and they unite to defeat either kabuto or madara or both.

I'm really not even sure. Every part of me that loves this manga wants to believe that this will be when Kishi finally wakes up and realizes that Naruto needs more Techs but I doubt very seriously that it will happen.

Personally I think that naruto is capable of leaving any jutsu. And another thing his shadow clone jutsu requires 1? hand signal where as more advanced jutsu require many quick hand signals but Kage bushin was suppose to be a forbidden tech? haha Idk I just hope everything starts getting a lot more interesting really soon!

I can sense the frustration of all Naruto fans like a sensory ninja. Face it, Naruto could barely keep up with Raikage.

It's clear that right now Sasuke is stronger than Naruto. Naruto's speed counts for nothing against Sasuke since Sasuke was fast enough to counter Raikage's moves. Naruto admits that Raikage could whoop his a**. He even admited that he was weaker than Sasuke and would need the Fox to help him win. Naruto needs more than speed and raw power.

Naruto will definitely get some more power-ups before he fights Sasuke. If he doesn't then Sasuke will end the fight in one jutsu. I can't wait to see EMS.

By the way, did anyone notice that on the first page Naruto is shown in Kyubi-Sage mode with Pa frog on his shoulder? Also, I love the pics of the hot water bath with Hinata and the other girls. From what I can see, Hinata has the biggest boobs!

i think everyone is overestimating naruto and underestimating raikage partly due to his struggles against sasuke..we are overlooking the fact that raikage is in the top 5 strongest ninjas (being the kages) outside of this u have madara, kabuto, sasuke and naruto..
in regards to the sasuke/raikage fight..raikage was facing sasuke, kishis pet who does happen to possess the 3 of the most powerful eye techs in existence, raikage having grown up with bee is not seeing naruto do anything he hasnt seen before, but fighting a mangekyou user of sasukes ability was new to him.. having said that sasuke had to use all his techs in that fight just to stay alive while naruto although he is losing, is goin toe-to-toe an keeping up..barely. many of you are extremely wrong. the raikage had his raiton armor activated the whole time. he punched naruto in his raiton armor and naruto blocked it. he talked to tsunade because he realized that the raikage was on his level of speed so he wouldn't be able to run past them. naruto didn't want to fight the raikage. i think it was a shadow clone naruto was going to do i was not sure but raikage wouldn't have hit naruto. naruto knows how quik the raikage is do you think he would allow himself to get hit there? and people we've been over this sasuke thing a long time ago. sasuke was severely beaten by the raikage he had no chance of victory. the raikage saw when sasuke put up his balck flames to surround himself had the time to stop his hand near sasuke's neck and from that distance of about 4 inches delivered a deadly blow that put sasuke on the ground (remember sasuke was also surrounded by sussano) sasuke was then going to die from the raikage's attack but gaara saved him. so the point is the raikage didn't even have to sacrifice his arm he was just extremely pissed off that sasuke had captured bee and wanted to end the fight he could have dodged amaterasu for a long period after and sasuke would have eventually had to stop using it then he would have died. be real people sasuke had no chance against raikage who is said to be stronger than bee and sasuke only lived in that fight because of karin and juggo. what we saw in this chapter was just a naruto trying to run past the raikage and the raikage stopping him that's all. raikage would have lost if naruto wanted to fight him. i have to admit however that naruto needs new techniques he has a million different rasengans a shadow clone and rasenshuriken come on kishi you have to do better in that development we need more variation.

of course all of us wanted naruto to have another jutsu or special technique, but when i think about it, maybe kishi wanted naruto to be that way. naruto is just shadow clones and rasengan and that's about it. when i think about it more, everything was according to plan. naruto was just able to do the shadow clones jutsu best, and that's about it. the genius is that the next jutsus or techiniques evolve from just the shadow clones. for example, since naruto can do shadow clones, he can do the rasengan, and so on. naruto even defeated pain with just shadow clones and a simple rasengan, and not while in sage mode. so he is just a ninja who never gives up. when he battles sasuke or madara, expect naruto to run out of ideas and just use shadow clones and rasengan to defeat them.

I came up with a prediction. Madara is going to find the other 50% of the kyubi's chakra. So totally he will get more then 50% of the jibi's chakra. With this chakra he will revive jubi and complete his moon eye plan. But this wont work on naruto and bee. Because they have two type of chakra. And in the sunlight many shinobi will get free. Then madara will find some new akatski member to accompany him. Some how madara will gain his full power. Because naruto is not gonna fight him in his weakend State . That wont be good for the sires to end. So after this war Naruto is not gonna end. Even the senju will show up one day. Naruto have to grow more powerful. Kabuto will revive orochimaru. I think there are some more evil organizations in the ninja world who hid behind the Akatski and will grew more powerful when oro will join them. This is my prediction about naruto series. @Everyone After reading a lot of peoples comments I went back and read the chapter again. It did seem that naruto blocked the attack from Raikage but he did said if he took a 'clean hit' from raikage, just one, then he would be done for. Now that does still say a lot considering that Sauske could bearly withstand a few shots with Susano which is suppose to be the ultimate defense even better than Gaara's sand.

I do also agree that Naruto has an unconventional way of doing everything and always come around in the end with some master plan that resorts back to shadow clones and rasengan, but still I think its way past time for something new and I dont mean a bijuu bomb which is convenitentally the exact same thing as rasengan basically. Which I guess makes sense if you follow the story its like everything hes done up to this point was to prepare him for the furture. Its just boring! and makes Naruto seem extremely weak!

Ok, to everyone who's blabbering about Naruto getting saved by Bee: Sasuke also got his butt saved by Madara, Juugo, Karin, Suigetsu and Zetsu's spore tech. To the point of Sasuke being stronger than Naruto on the basis of their matches with Raikage, can't be told. Why?
Simple reason. Different motives. Sasuke had killing intent, while Naruto just wants to get past. And where did you get the idea that Raikage wasn't using Raiton armor? Read again. For one thing, Naruto can keep up with Raikage's speed(like it or not, Tsunade's comment confirmed it), while Sasuke was barely able to see him, let alone keep up with him. Sasuke has been abnormally hyped by Kishi. Amaterasu shield? If he didn't have it, he'd have been toast. Leave that, Raikage's kick would have cut his ticket amaterasu shield or not, had not Gaara would've stopped him. Raikage acted foolishly, blinded by rage, whilst his match with Sasuke. Best of all, Sasuke was using his full power and Naruto just got started.
Do you think he'd feel even a tickle outta Raikage's physical moves, once he stops Nine-Tails Mode and hits Sage mode?

Gaara pretty much saved Sasuke. May be Raikage's leg would've been damaged but Sasuke's life would've been too(if and only if Madara wouldn't have saved him).
Naruto is strong but he definately needs powerup in the form of Kekkei Genkai or other powerful techs. Also, Naruto's powers are scattered now. If he can combine his Sage Mode with his Nine-Tails Mode, as well as gain the trust of Kyuubi and Ma, Pa on his both shoulders, who'd be able to stop him?

@Someone who asked why can't Naruto perform Rasengan with one hand while, Jiraiya could and Kakashi can do: Do you think they'd be able to pull of the feat at Naruto's age? Please think again.

Even then if sasuke wasnt a rogue ninja he wud definitely have been a great ninja in konoha better than naruto.....Naruto already got his ass kicked once by Sasuke i dont think bijuu mode will do him any good now against Sasuke and Madara combined and Kabuto ruling the battle field from behind the scenes.....If naruto has to defeat Madara and Sasuke he has to first confront Kabuto and defeat his technique of impure world resurrection....and even without tht Kabuto stood well against two legendary sennin at the beginning of the Naruto he must be crazy strong now.....

why are you guys saying naruto is not strong. what happened when naruto fought the kyubi. it was all his power using many shadow clones and having all of them using gargantuan rasengans and then finishing the kyubi with a resnshuriken. this is the biggest chakra monster known and naruto defeated him.
sasuke has more techniques that is known but naruto will win. i think this whole blog just wants to see naruto with new techniques for a change. he can win with the techniques he has but we need to see something different. he has been using these same techniques since he was a little boy

i doubt that will happen, since the beginning of the series, naruto's main goal was to be accepted and be acknowledged by everyone in konoha and to become the greatest hokage ever. he will prove where others failed, he will succeed, i.e. jiraiya couldn't save orchimaru but naruto will proove he will save sauske. that's how it will end. otherwise kishi will screw up the entire manga big time.

First off, I really liked the chapter. Like many of you, I would have preferred to have seen Naruto kicking A around, but it was not his intent to hurt someone who's supposed to be on the same team.

Second, although Naruto has grown more powerful, I think he is still behind Sauske. Yes, Sauske was about to have his butt handed to him by A. No doubt about that. Yes, Gaara saved him. The Raikage would have lost a leg, but Sauske was done for. Sauske is more verstile than Naruto, but Naruto always finds a way to win.

I'd like to see Naruto using more tech's, like Sauske, but there are very few ninja at his age that do. Look at Naruto's peers - they usually specialize in one area - heck Tenten doesn't even use any tech's. The tech's will come with age, but I do hope that Jiraiya taught him something that he is holding in reserve.

Naruto needs to be developing his wind technique. Is it just me or don't you think they would learn what affinity tech a genin had in the academy? Those type of jutsus would come more naturally to them. Sauske had a fire tech mastered - why not anyone else like Sakura or Tenten. Naruto would become a lot more versatile if he had a technique that used his wind affinity He has enormous chakra - why not put it to use.

Well I think yondaime Raikage is an old school Shinobi who will do whatever ot takes to acomplish hos mission....too experienced and i believe far too strong....as he sais he faought yondaime hokage a lot of times and none got killed....that means a lot....imagine someone fighting(in more than one occasions)yondaime hokage at his prime and live to tell the story...the only other person who did that once was Madara...what do you guys think....?

I sense some blind hypocrits around here. I do not intend to be rude, but it's my impression that Sasuke's fans were dying to see something to undermine Naruto after the Raikage ass whooping.
Where did Raikage owned Naruto? Naruto was trying to get by, not kill him, he's in the alliance. He didn't cry for Tsunade, he was was 'what tha hell, what is he doing?'. Naruto took a direct punch from the Raikage and blocked with his bare hands. What he meant by point blank was if he was hit without blocking. But when the same punch smashed Susanoo to pieces no one even said a word. How about that? Naruto matches Raikage's speed who is the fastest ninja alive, Mangekyou Sharingan can't even keep up with him. So who owned who? Sasuke nearly died several times. As far as I can see Naruto is still moving and fine. This isn't a real battle, still some idiots picture it that way. Let's read the same manga shall we?

i don't think raikage owned naruto as many of you are saying, for crying out loud , naruto just wanted to get past raikage..

naruto loves peace and he knows what is hatred...

naruto did not kill nagato when he had the chance, it proved that naruto won't be killing people to be hated by others..

raikage is trying to protect naruto from entering into battlefiled, naruto is trying to enter into battlefiled,

Naruto nd Sasuke obtained powers in a mutual way... Sasuke from Itachi nd Naruto from Kyubi... but the thing is both of them are only 16...
Compared to Raikage's speed nd power with his age, Naruto really matched it even in his age itself...
Also Raikage mentioned he's d Fastest man alive only bcoz Minato had Passed away... Minato evn in death Surpasses all.... He s my Favourite....
