I just read today's chapter. God it came out early! I never expected that the former jinchuriki would also be part of this as well. Especially those that Naruto knows from the past. This could be a problem for Naruto especially when he uses the Sage of the Six Paths power if he plans to use the Reaper Death Seal.

this will be one tough war. Zombie Asuma will face Shikamaru same with Sakura vs Chiyo. After this chapter i kinda think the alliance is gonna get smoked.... Hanzo the Salamander????? And Also wheres Hidan? Sasuke is coming around. It'll be so sick when he shows off that EMS. Honestly the only way i believe The Alliance will win. Is if Sasuke turns on Madara. just imagine it Sasuke and Naruto vs Madara. EPIC

Woow what an chapter, just mind blowing ... Kishi really likes to mindfuck every Naruto fan, AMAZING.

Even tough I expected to see Yondaime Hokage between all of the summoning in Edo Tensei, The disappointed of not seeing Yondaime went away when I saw all the previous host and skilled fighters.

For an example the Yonbi( Four-Tailed Monkey)host Roshi has a lava Kekkei Genkai, and Seeing Asuma back will be mindraping for Shikamaru not knowing,if he could attack is his late Sensei.

To bad we couldn't see Madara's Rinnegan at work, but Kishi made up for that seeing Naruto in Kyuubi Mode again.

Its great 2 see that Killer Bee is enthusiastic to train Naruto. I want also to see Naruto to get in an conversation with Kyuubi because I think he knows so much about his abilities and the Rikodu sennin, It can only be use full for Naruto.

One last thing does someone if the jutsu that they have been speaking about that the Fourth left for Naruto is,
Him controlling the Bijuu because I think there some thing else that Naruto is going to gain a new skill before his fight with Sasuke and Madara, does some one else think the same?

Man!!! Awesome chapter! It's to bad we'll have to wait until next week to see the next chapter. There's no doubt in my mind that Naruto will develop some type of new power apart of having the Kyuubi's power and the Uzumaki/Senju's power. In one of the previous chapter's, Madara said that u need the power of the Uchiha and Senju to possess the Rinnegan. Nagato had already the power of the Senju since he was an Uzumaki and no doubt Madara must have transfered some of the Uchiha's power in him in the past. Naruto will develop some type of power in his eyes and I think that was what that fortune telling toad was about to say to Naruto before he interrupted him. Naruto already possesses the power of the Uchiha in Itachi's power and the Senju's, so does anybody in hear agree? Yes? No? Maybe?

Asuma nad nejis dad are being resurrected....
If asuma is matched against shikamaru that could be bad for his decisions especially cause he is captain in charge now...
same goes for neji.....
but what good are the former jinchurriki if their bijus were extracted prior to their death...
they wont have bijou's powers....
though kabuto cant give most of these shinobi their complete will...
if so then they will refuse to fight especially itachi,nagato,zabuza,haku,kimimaro,chyio,hanzo,asuma,neij's dad, all of jinchurriki, all of kage's......
cause these people were good men who strongly believed in peace and harmony.....
so restraining their will means that these people will will never be at their full potential as they would not be using their minds to fight.....
and a shinobi's power relies on their intelligence and strategies during combat which cannot be realized without free will...
thats why the third was able to take both 1st and 2nd on together in combat even at his old age which otherwise was impossible....
but still they r more than enough to face jonin level shinobi and above...
though with shinobis like shikamaru,kakashi,all kages, and all the smart ones the ressurects would fail....
this is not enough for madara to win...
i bet he must have something more special planned which would be revealed only in midst of war...
Edo-tensei is just to weaken allied nation forces, not defeat them...
the first move in any war is always coy...
the real move comes after the enemy wrongly accounts your abilities and hence strategises wrongly.....
thats when madara will bring in real deal but someone like shikamaru might already realise this....
so really waiting to see what kishi will do next.... :)

yeah.. we've already seen that itachi can pass on great power with a touch.. i have no doubt that it was something big.. but, the way naruto in 9-tails mode looked so much like the SOSP could be because of what itachi did to him - meaning he does already have everything he needs to defeat madara.. kabuto on the other hand is another story.. and i'm still waiting for when kabuto is beaten down so much and expends so much chakra, that orochimaru can finally take over.. tho, based on how much he wants sasuke, maybe orochimaru is already in control.. atleast a bit..

Zabuza,Kimimaro, and maybe Hanzo were everything but "good men who strongly believe in peace ", Zabuza came from The Previous Blood Mist(who was under control of madara) and he was the wielder of the execution blade, He had a blood lust,

samething goes for Kimimaro who was a "slave" of orochimaru he obeyed him, when he was a kid he killed people in villages, Even his own clan feared him and locked him up.

And Hanzo can't be all that good teaming up in the past with people off the likes of Danzo.

just a little Question: when did Kabuto gets all these DNA are'nt the Akatsuki aware what's going on in thier base during extraction? or maybe the Zetsu is really Orochimaru subordin8...
I still believe that Kabuto is not the real, but Orochimaru himself who is the main character and most pervert next to Jiraiya..who knows Jiraiya still alive who's research must not be in vain 4 the past year..and unfinished buzz...What the hell Hanzo i know he's been using teleport during Nagato's fight..how come he is being reanim8? Utakada the 6tails i see him power is nothing not even control his beast in the filler? there's a lot to explain Mr Kishi just make some explanation coz ppl get confused...hope to see more how and when all and why these are possible....

The Sound 4 were completely useless without their curse mark. They were actually matched by a bunch of kids.

If you remember before Jiraiya's death, he asked the villagers about what happened to Hanzo. After Nagato made the Six Paths of Pain, he went to Hanzo and killed him and his family and everyone he knew.

Kimimaroo and Zabuza had someone they found worth living for. That's enough to say that they had a reason to fight.

I don't know about Hanzo though... we know nothing of him. Just that he was a legendary ninja.

Jiraiya is alive...kabuto resurrected every powerful shinobi...even asuma... but one of d best fighter is missin...its jiraiya...!!! i guess pain would hav brought him to live... to say... all three sannins are alive... orochimaru still lives inside kabuto ... No death for orochimaru till d end...he rocks but my bad he's on evil side!!!!!!

Kishimoto already said that Jiraiya is alive...in our hearts. His death helped Naruto grow as a character overall. And it should stay that way, unless you want this story to be VERY VERY cliche?

@33 that's what i am looking for the Sound 4 + Kimimaru = Jugo they are all with the curse mark that almost killed our favorite Neji,Gaara,Lee,Kiba,Shikamaru and Choji..and its a top 5 list in fighting series.... to Hanzo can u pls. watch NS 173 @ 18.35 when Nagato use Demon Statue Hanzo used a teleport jutsu it means he is not dead..
Now about Yamato, i think Anko will save him using her snakes..vs..snake and there will be a big revelation bw them under the base so they will discover more of the Hashirama to wc Yamato Dna was as a result...and the lotus flower that grows from a copy of Hashirama Senju to do something to elimin8 Zetsu's power.

I said this a long long long time ago, but I definitely think Jiraiya is one of Kabuto's soldiers now.

It would add a whole new emotional dimension to the readers and characters if we saw Jiraiya face off against his homeland of the Leaf Village. It would be very interesting to see the dynamic between a zombie Jiraiya confront (and possibly fight) Naruto, Tsunade and Kakashi

so its settled sealed souls can't be revived (no Shodaime-Hashirama, Nidaime-Tobirama, Sandaime-Sarutobi and finally no Yondaime-Minato), the only kages kabuto is able to summon are ex-kazekage (gaara's father whose name is not known), ex-raikage (again name not known)and ex-mizukage (yagura)
even if these shinobis were elite when they lived, they wont be much of a match for the current generation, but their presence will inflict huge psychological impact on those who were close to them.

yeah, during the war its possible that kabuto is pushed to the limit and he no longer can suppress orochimaru inside him same way when sasuke lost control over orochimaru while fighting itachi and if kabuto doesn't betray tobi, orochimaru will definitely put an end on a century long misery of tobi

Kabuto's army/strenght is prouf that sasuke is coming back to the good side...cuz things are kind of going out of balance... gessing that the match ups are gona be 5kages vs 5kages..., sakura vs chiyo..,shikamru vs Asuma, kimimaro vs rocklee or gaara, kakashi vs zabuza, cruel neji vs his father, the 100k zetsu vs 80k rest of army.. meanwhile sasuke vs kabuto, naruto vs madara ..no?

If so, i can't possibly believe that the "zombies" would be of any match to the living characters..i'm thnking of zabuza who was defeated by kakashi before he perfected his mangekyo...garaa is like 100times stronger then when he faced kimimaro with lee... do they get stronger after there reborn...how could they lose?

I can't wait to see Naruto after a little more training with Bee. He's going to an absolute brawler if he wasn't enough of one as it was. Also another little chat with the fox to encourage a partnership like Bee's and the 8-tails. Or Naruto could just threaten him with the if I die you die so help me out if aproach or threaten him that he wont be the kyubi anymore naruto gets captured as he'll get sucked up by Madara to become part of the Jubi. Naruto could get co-operation from the fox this way.

He might not compare to some of the other summonings like Pain or Hanzo but he still is strong. Just because he died earlier on in the manga, doesn't mean he isn't strong. If you look back he was still a match for Kakashi even when he had his Sharingan, he'd be up there. Plus his reputation is something people would consider when fighting him to.

all the people who say jiraiya is alive is right... and the last of alot of reason was the frog tablet when konan die...

if you look carefully to Jiraiya's tablet is not completly (Flat) like yahiko konan and nagato... is half turn thanks to the roots... there are more reasons as well but i don;t want to start a war here... we got enough R ready in Naruto lol...

Well for this chapter all I can said is that it almost like Aliens vs Predator or Jason Vs Freddy. There are not telling who is going to have upper hand.An interesting part is that Kishi actually summon all the ninjas that have close relationship with the enemies.I guess except the Cloud and the Stone village, the other village ninja would have an emotional dilemma of either being wiped out or "mental breakdown"! And this chapter should at least shut UTP 's barking and barking for this week !

jiraiya is alive there are many reasons and proofs that he is alive and that the 1st and 2nd hokages are not sealed within the death god reaper only the souls that orochimaru sacrifices are sealed think back after the 1st and 2nd hokages substitute souls are sealed the team of zaku and that gal (dont kno her name properly) are the ones who became into powder meaning that only their souls are sealed and not the hokages but sarutobi and minato cannot be revived cause they are sealed in death god.....finally the chapter was epic and that jiraiya is alive cause he wasnt there he is stronger than all of them there except that itachi who could equal with him so summoning zabuza haku chiyo asuma and all other zombies and that kabuto saying a group of skilled ninjas man surely jiraiya sud b ther cause he could rape evry1 there including the akatsuki members,kages and the ex-jinchurikis and that jiraiya not there is a proof that jiraiya is alive

If Jiraiya was returned as a zombie, he would not be able to stay in sage mode. Remember Jiraiya needed the aid of Pa and Ma toad to complete the transformation. He wouldn't be able to maintain the transformation because I doubt that Ma and Pa toad would help him if he were on the side of evil.

I kind of feel sorry foe Tsunade. It seems that Kabuto has brought back her love interest. I guess Tsunade will finaly let loose.

I think that the one standing next to Nenji's father is Tsunade's brother. Although they didn't show his face I am just assuming that it is him because Kabuto brought Dan back.

There were a lot of Konoha ninja missing from this chapter. I guess they are either going to sit this one out or are not important enough to be mentioned. Either way this was a great chapter.

There is no proof of Jiraiya being alive but I am going to say he is. Kabuto could have collected his DNA under water. The fact that he isn't amongst the great leaf shinobi speaks a thousand words.

I don't believe that Jiraiya is in the sixth coffin. Whoever is in the sixth coffin is linked to Tobi. The dweller of the coffin will ultimately reveal if Tobi is who he says he is.

Kabuto and oro knew about zetsu long time maybe even before than tobi expected, so here is something that i think might be the answer so as to why yamato got caught so effortlessly (well at least for me yamato went down very easily, for him being an ANBU), so i think kabuto and yamato pre-planned the capture so that when kabuto uses him (yamato)to power up zetsu, it remains in the control of either kabuto or yamato... still this is just a thought

i think also that tsunade will fight dan and she will probably loose the battle

and what if kabuto resurrected yondaime i think that he can't revive him because he is under shinigami's stomach and he will rest forever but i remember that orochimaru tried to resurrect him when he fought sandaime but he did'nt succeed, now kabuto is more powerful than orochimaru so may be he could do it who knows.

I firmly believe that Jiraiya is dead.

Jiraiya was one of the greatest ninja in the entire Naruto world. As one of the sannin, he was hugely respected and incredibly powerful. His sacrificial death against Pain was the most honorable way for him to die. During the fight, he had the opportunity to run, but he chose not to because he knew that his stance against Pain was the best thing he could do to defend the Leaf and discover Pain's identity. He died nobly entrusting the next generation to pass on his legacy of peace and love. I think it'd be a disrespect to the character, Jiraiya, if he didn't die for what he believed in.

Hi Tsunade,

I think she will loose and she will die but not at the hands of Dan. She will probably die sacrificing herself the same way her predecessors did.

I don't think it's Minato because he is in the Shinigami's stomach. When Orochimaru third summon failed I believe it failed because it was impossible to do so. It is kind of far-fetched to suggest that Sarutobi stop a summon that powerful by throwing kunai and shiriken at it. If Orochimaru was able to summon the third at that time, then it would be safe to say that Kabuto (who has surpassed him in every way, even in becoming a snake with limb lol) could summon the 1st-4th. The fact that they were not amongst the army of the living dead means that it is impossible to summon someone who is sealed within the death god's stomach.

Yeah i think Kabuto is Plotting to take over Madaras Army All the New Zetsu have that Orochimaru look to them and we all know that Orochimaru cells have the power to take over ones body. With his power in all of the zetsu its only a matter of time before he betrays Madara and turns his army agents him. I think Kabuto and Orochimaru have been planning this for a long time,and that's why they need the leaf to kill off the Akatsuki so they would have control over them too. Madara's army wouldn't stand a chance with out Kabuto help. Or is Madara really that strong that thinks that he can take on the whole joint ninja Force with just him zetsu and Sasuke? Hi swordfish, I agree with you to a certain extent. "J" did die for what he believed in, but so did many other leaf ninja. One mainly Kakashi. He died protecting Choji so that he could deliver important intel. He was brought back to life also. Do you feel that his character was disrespected also? All I am saying is that Kabuto is able to travel by sea and collect the contents of the sea, through Manda v2. Seeing how intelligent and how he has a lot of foresight, it's safe to say that he knew the location of where Jiraiya was killed. Wouldn't he have gotten his DNA already. Jiraiya's death was over 100 chapters ago. Kabuto would have had his DNA by now. I think Jiraiya would be more powerful as a martyr but from what we are being shown thus far it would seem as if "J" is alive.

Everyone else was somehow not completely sealed off. Think of all the intermediate series of Naruto about dead bodies and people using them for evil purposes...

And about the idiots that think he's still alive because of the tablet in Amegakure. The branches grew in time and flipped it over, showing that Jiraiya and his 3 students were together at 'home' in the end.

Eg: When Hatake Kakashi was killed in the fight against Nagato, he died by extreme lack and overusage of chakra needed for Mangekyou Sharingan. He died in a stupid way. Unlike that, when Sarutobi Asuma died, he too died with a smile and a will of fire to be given. He died in honor as well. Jiraiya did too. They don't stay alive.

still some people are very much confused about edo tensei.

please try to differentiate the soul and body, edo tensei brings back the soul.

edo tensei does not care about the souls original body, whether it is in perfect or condition or blown to pieces.

deidra blow up his body , not his soul.
sasuke has itachis eye, not his soul
Tobi has Nagatos eye, not his soul

when people are summoned through edo tensei the people soul attach to a sacrificed body. the sacrificed body turns into dust and ashes , then takes the appearence of the souls original body.

i hope this clears some peoples doubts.

how else would you explain orochimaru trying to summon yondaime even though he is sealed whithin shinigami.(@92:summon was not stopped by kunai..third had already thrown the kunai..he then formed a seal to stop the summon)

so i think the one in the coffin was minato.who else will madara be afraid of?remember minato had already defeated him earlier.and this time he will also have half the kyubi's chakra..

as for jiraya,i think he is dead and kabuto is saving him up for later..

hmm i wonder if it is possible for kabuto to ressurect minato and jiraya for naruto to fight in the great ninja war, i only say its a possibility because not all of minato was sealed in the death god, just like not all of the fox was sealed in the death god, he sealed part of himself in naruto just incase the seal was ever broken, would this be enough for kabuto to edo tensei him? if so it might be possible that when kishi said his bloodline limit will be revealed he actually ends up using it against the shinobi army, and when naruto witness' this great conflict and tragedy all the parts he already has to become the new so6p could activate like the legend says the rinnegen reveals itself it times of great conflict and tragedy........these are just my thoughts though please reply i would like to know how plausible people here think this is ^^

When Kabuto is summoning the "zombies" he doesn't say too specifically like the "3 ex kages" just "ex kages" He names them out even broader.

I will also like to say that those who said that Utakata and the Three tails story didn't exist because were not in manga were proven wrong. I am guessing that the guy on the left who was summoned with the ex jinchurriki is not Utakata or what. Every one has a part in the story filler, movie, or whatever. Now don't say that a filler doesn't have a part in a story. And Kishi made a 22 pg chapter today very great.

It is seeming to come more clear how Naruto will bring the nations together to "one day understand each other" like Jaraiya wanted. Look they made a headband for all that is marked shinobi. This headband will be what forms the bond between all nations and Naruto will do something to keep it that way or strengthen it. Everyone expect to see The ex Hokages. Expect to see Jaraiya too. And I hope we see the Top Uzumaki clan members, Top Uchiha clan members, and top Senju clan members. Hopefully they will be featured in the summonings for the ninjas who made a name for themself because it looks like on Pg 20-21 that the ninja on the left are cut off from the picture like there are more. And on those same page we see that Zetsu is becoming stronger through Yamato somehow.

Keep in mind that Yamato has that poison that supresses Shodai powers in him. Even though Kabuto said he wouldn't use it on Zetsu we can't trust he won't when the time comes. He will probably be in desperation and make the poison affect the Zetsu. We should also not forget that Zetsu can copy the chakra and image of a person. Giving them the ability to get into squads without suspicion.

Kabuto is the ultimate spy ninja!! He forces himself to be trusted and plays all the sides to get his objectives completed. He is already making moves against Akatsuki and will continue to. Madara ( ITS NOT F&&&&&&NG TOBI ) knows this and will have counter measures ready. It'll be interesting to see when Kabuto turns on Madara and goes after Gaysauceke. Sasuke will probably burn Kabuto out off this realm without breaking a sweat though. And Madara will just laugh at him.

Yea you bring up some good points. It's true kakashi died for the village too, but there's a difference between dieing and being revived fully (like Kakashi), and dieing for good (like Jiraiya).

And like I said before, I do think Jiraiya is one of Kabuto's zetsu zombies now. But being brought back as a zombie isn't the same as a "being alive" because he wouldnt have free will and would be under Kabuto's influence. Kakashi, on the other hand, was brought back to life by Pain and fully recovered.

I still think that it would not be interesting at all to see Nagato and Itachi without eye dojutsu, besides

edo tensei is supposed to bring back the souls in new host bodys just like they were before dying

and since soul is what gives the characteristics to the body, surely they have to have their eyes since is a bloodline limit related to the soul

oh and to the people tht didnt realise it all the jinchurikis died via the extraction when they extracted the bijuu they died sobasically they died at the same time they lost the bijuu so they will still be able to use the abilities as if they had the bijuus in them tht'll be scary lol

ho come on, deidara eye sockets were empty when we fisrt saw his resurrection, and once kabuto didnt bind him completely his eyes were shown

deidara exploded and i dont think his eyes survived the explosion, so it would make sense if he had no eyes if your theory on why nagato and itachi will not have eyes was right
